Our associates at Alliance Event Management get plenty of opportunities to visit new cities and experience new cultures. Unfortunately, these experiences also mean surviving the hassles of business travel. Due to this, our team members have become experts at airports and hotels. Here are a few of our favorite tips for making the less-exciting parts of travel more bearable:
- Water and Food: Perhaps the best thing you can do to make flights, car rides, and train trips easier is to bring provisions. Getting hungry and dehydrated while traveling is very easy. Having some water and snacks will go a long way.
- Good Headphones: Nearly every member of our Alliance Event Management team has a good pair of noise-cancelling headphones. The ability to create a quiet space anywhere you want will greatly reduce stress.
- Comfortable Socks: Sometimes the best thing you can do on a flight is take off your shoes and slip on some comfortable socks. A few of our associates even take slippers on longer flights. It is easy to forget about your feet but taking care of them has a huge effect on comfort.
- Emergency Kit: Prepare an emergency kit with things like chargers, band-aids, pain relievers, and sleep aids. Having a compact set of the things you need in a pinch will also make travel easier.
